Rebecca Nurse (Towne) is the wife of Francis Nurse. She was one of the accused of using witchcraft during the Salem Witch Trials.

Rebecca Nurse was born in Great Yarmouth, England in 1621. Her family settled in Salem village in 1640. She married Francis Nurse in 1644 and went on to have 8 children.

Rebecca Nurse was a well respected member of the community who frequently attended church. She would often go out of her way to help others in need. She would later develop a special relationship with Grace Webb.
